Although there are no established\r\n limits to the type of emergency, the primary consideration is for safe means\r\n of scape from a fire.\r\n\r\nMost municipalities adopt the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) \r\nguidelines as part of their fire code and enforce through building codes. \r\nThe guidelines may be categorized in three sections 1. fire prevention \r\n2. fire suppression and 3. Egress.  \r\n\r\nFire prevention are all items that would prevent fire combustions and\r\n includes all building systems and materials.\r\n\r\nFire suppression pertains to  all systems which can aid in putting out \r\na fire after it has ignited, these include sprinkler systems, air vacuum\r\n systems, water distribution systems, and stinguisher sytems. \r\n\r\nEgress pertains to systems which will notify and facilitate the need \r\nto exit a building. These include a fire alarm system, a dedicated stairs\r\n system, an emergency lighting system which illuminates pathways, an\r\n exit signage system, and a series of requirements which will ensure that \r\nthere are minimal floor or door obstacles in the event of an emergency \r\nscape under zero visibility conditions.\r\n"]);
