Urban Builders & Design Consultants (UBDC) will assemble the appropriate design team & specialty consultants through pre-qualified partners and client preferred vendors. We typically partner-with and manage appropriate local, national, and international Architecture & Engineering firms to provide a seamless integrated design & construction service.
Due to our unique ability to incorporate design team with strong especialty on virtually any facility type, we are able to work with clients to develop programming, test fits, & design strategies that will support business goals and needs. Therefore regardless of industry & use, we will provide a specialty design team who not only understands, but has extensive experience and insight into clients business area and industry leaders.
Our approach to conceptual design values early collaboration between design and construction teams (value engineering). This collaborative process between architects/engineers together with contractors/suppliers & construction management allows the successful achievement of a far superior & buildable design. By implementing this collaboration early in the process designers are able to avoid specifying materials which are unnecessarily more expensive or require long delivery timeframes. In this manner potential change order are minimized, saving all stake holders time, money and administrative burdens during construction phase.

Typically design team will include not only Architects and Engineers but also specialist in IT, AV, FFE, and other common disciplines as may be required. Additionally a project executive is assigned as a single point of contact for client communications. At the operational level every project is assigned a lead project manager who’s supported by appropriate design team, and administrative personnel, assigned in accordance with project needs.
